Your travel documents will usually be ready for viewing 45 days before the cruise. You should set a calendar reminder to check your RCCL reservation to see if you can do your online check in approx. 45 days prior to the cruise (around 4/1/25). The sooner you perform this step, the earlier you're likely to get an "early" assigned boarding time. Also, checking in online makes the check-in and boarding process much smoother and faster. Things begin to warm up around May 15th in Alaska. Temperatures are typically in the high 50's with lows in the mid 40's. Plan to dress with layers and a light puffer jacket is advised. May is one of the driest months in Alaska, but it could rain. At this time of year, the trees are in full bloom, mountain scenes show a lot of greenery with ice-tipped peaks ... it's a beautiful scene!

May is considered shoulder season and is a good time to visit Seattle. You should still pack layers, as evenings can be cool. Daily highs are usually between 64°F and 69°F, with lows usually between 47°F and 53°F.

It is advised to arrive the day before the cruise in the event there are flight delays or cancellations on the day of departure. Leaving a day early gives you the opportunity to re-book on a later flight and make it to Seattle in time.
