It all began one evening over two decades ago when we met in Fort Lauderdale. We started chatting, and our connection was instant. Chris was drawn to Lorenzo's witty sense of humor . . . we laughed so much that evening. At that time, Chris had just moved to Wilton Manors from Pembroke Pines, and Lorenzo had lived in Fort Lauderdale all his life.

As we began dating, every moment felt like an adventure. Our bond deepened, and we loved traveling and exploring new places together. Moving in was a big step, and we created a cozy home filled with laughter and love ... and chicken wings for dinner every week!

We have faced tough times together as well, but those challenges have only strengthened our love and support for each other. Through it all, we made incredible memories together, from helping each other navigate through difficult times to amazing travel adventures.

In many respects, we have been “married” for over twenty years. But our union could never be whole without the exchange of vows and the privilege of being legally wedded partners under the law … a right afforded to people like us only in recent years. It’s that desire to no longer live in the shadows that has brought us to express our love and commitment to each other in a very public way.

As we look forward to our wedding in May 2025, we are grateful for our journey together and excited for what the future holds.
